Our Committee

We are a democratic, non-commercial, not-for-profit organisation. Our committee members are unpaid volunteers.

In accordance with our governing constitution, all committee members must be elected or re-elected at our AGM each year by our society members who vote at that meeting. However, the committee has the flexibility to co-opt additional members from the society at any time during the year.

We are always on the look out for proactive people with fresh ideas to join our team. If you're ready to help shape our future, we invite you to express your interest by sending an email to committee@lewesas.org.uk. Not only can voluntary work experience significantly enhance your professional career prospects, but it also allows you to be part of our friendly team, where you can acquire new skills, expand your network, and ultimately make a positive impact in our community. You don't need to be an expert in astronomy!
